• REEF-SPEC: Optimal Conditions for a Flourishing Reef: Every piece of equipment integrated into the MAX NANO G2 systems adheres to REEF-SPEC standards. These specifications represent the ideal conditions essential for maintaining coral health and promoting growth, drawing on over 30 years of research by Red Sea into the specific needs of corals in artificial environments.
• REEF-SPEC Lighting: Our extensive research into the photobiological requirements of corals in artificial settings has led to the development of the REEF-SPEC lighting criteria. This framework guides the lighting configurations employed in all Red Sea aquarium systems, ensuring optimal conditions for your aquatic life.
• Fully Equipped Rear Sump: The Red Sea MAX NANO G2 systems feature a meticulously designed rear sump, concealed behind a rotatable screen for convenient access. Water flows into the rear sump through a removable surface skimmer and is filtered via a customized 225-micron filter sock and a MAX protein skimmer. The filtered water is then returned to the aquarium through a media chamber, bubble trap, and multi-directional, adjustable nozzles.
• NanoMat ReefLED Lighting: The Red Sea MAX NANO G2 series is equipped with the ReefBeat-App controlled ReefLED 50 lighting system, precisely engineered to promote optimal coral growth and vibrant coloration. Notably, the MAX NANO G2 XXL comes with two lighting units to accommodate the larger size.

The REEF-SPEC circulation system is powered by a Sicce return pump, with capacities of 950 LPH for the Cube and Peninsula, 1550 LPH for the XL, and two 1550 LPH pumps for the XXL, effectively circulating the tank’s entire water volume approximately ten times per hour. Additionally, the rear sump in the MAX NANO cube, peninsula, and XL systems includes an automated top-off feature with an RO reservoir, and all MAX NANO sumps are equipped with ReefATO+ technology.
